Tugas ini di mulai dengan membaca terlebih dahulu, "The Legend of the Crying Stone." lalu meringkasnya dengan urutan peristiwa.

Based on the legend above, list the chronology of the events in the story and rewrite the story using sequence words provided. [Halaman 29]

1. Once upon a time, there lived a poor widow and her lazy and spoiled daughter.

2. One day, they went to the market and the daughter wore her best clothes while her mother walked behind her because the daughter felt ashamed if she walked with her side by side. Yet everyone is still amazed by how beautiful the daughter is.

3. While walking on the market a man scolds the daughter and says, "Who is the old woman behind you? Is she your mother?" and the daughter just said it was her maid without hesitation.

4. After that, her mother cried because she was hurt and heard a lot of the same answers to the same question.

5. A little later, the daughter asks why she stops. With Shouting.

6. Then, her mother did not respond to her daughter's shout. She raised her hand and prayed to God and she asked to punish her daughter because of her inability to educate her child.

7. Suddenly, The sky darkens, and a storm approaches.

8. But then, her daughter slowly turns into stone from her foot and spreads to another body.

9. Eventually, the daughter regrets what she did to her mother and begs for her mercy. But it was too late, her whole body turned into stone and that thing kept flowing tears from the statue's eyes. That is why the statue is called, the Crying Stone.
